RECEIPE OF THE WEEK Judy's Magnificent Moist Muffins 1 1/2C chopped dates 1C sour milk or butter milk (or 1Tbsp vinegar+milk) 1C boiling water 1 egg 2 tsp baking soday 2C all purpose flour 1/2C brown sugar 1/2C bran 1/2C margarine or butter pinch salt 1)Pour boiling water & soda over dates and let cool. 2)Cream sugar and margarine. Add egg, then milk. 3)Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Add that mix to the date mix. 4)Bake @350F for 10-12 min. | The Joy of Cooking | ||||||||||||||||
